Assistant Superintendent

Upper Montclair Country Club, Clifton, NJ

Job Description:

Upper Montclair is a private 27-hole golf club located 9 miles West of NY City. The course was originally designed by A.W. Tillinghast as an 18-hole golf course in 1929. In the 1950’s, a major course renovation was directed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. which transformed the Upper Montclair Country Club into its present 27-hole Championship design. Upper Montclair County Club has a strong tradition of producing championship conditions and is considered to be one of the best private clubs in northern New Jersey.  In Early 2019, to coincide with our clubhouse renovation, we also built a state of the art short game facility with practice greens on USGA spec. soils. The golf course is comprised of Bent/Poa fairways, tees, and modified push up greens.
