Raritan Valley Country Club, Bridgewater, NJ
Raritan Valley Country is a Private Club very highly regarded by its members. We offer a true country club setting to members, including; Golf, Har-Tru Tennis, Squash, and Swimming.
Designed in 1911 by renowned architect Herbert H. Barker, RVCC plays host to relatively small, undulating greens and green complexes strategically bunkered. We are located in Northern, Central New Jersey, conveniently accessible from Routes 78, 287, 206, 202, and 22.
We are currently working on a master plan renovation project, including the rebuilding and restoring select tee boxes and bunker surrounds. Irrigation pond dredge/bank restoration and MCI pump station installation, are scheduled for November 2022. Irrigation satellite boxes and central were upgraded to Toro Lynx in 2021.
Our Har-Tru tennis courts were rebuilt last Spring, along with four new pickleball courts. The clubhouse building, pool, and racquets facility are scheduled for renovations in the Fall.
The successful candidate will be involved in planning and executing daily and weekly maintenance practices, including; mowing, course set-up, project planning, and primarily irrigation repairs.
Performs preventative maintenance on the irrigation system including the lake re-circulation system and water features.
Determines wet and dry areas for adjustments of sprinkler heads.
Properly inventories and stocks all irrigation parts and tools in order to minimize down time.
Maintains working knowledge of pump station maintenance requirements
Operates, maintains and repairs a complex irrigation system, including leaks on the distribution lines, valve risers, electrical system, computer, and irrigation control wire.
Reports any serious irrigation breaks immediately to the Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent and maintains a daily log of completed repairs.
Conducts monthly checks of all sprinkler heads on the entire golf facility.
Responsible for coordinating winterization and blowout of irrigation system, including all water lines, valves, and pump stations.
Performs other duties as required.
Two or Four-year degree or certificate in Turf Management Program or similar degree field and training.
Three to four years experience working in golf course turf maintenance and/or irrigation management as it relates to golf course turf management and maintenance.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual that can work well with management, staff, and membership to deliver consistent and quality turf conditions.
Compensation/Benefits: Salary: $60,000 to $80,000 per year
